Motivate, the leading specialized media partner in the United States, attended the 13th Annual WBENC-West Procurement Opportunity Conference & Awards Dinner from September 7-9, 2016. Motivate SVP of Business Development and Client Services Nicole Kuklewicz represented the company at the three-day event at the M Resort in Henderson, Nevada. The conference welcomed speakers from Disney, IBM, Capital One and Kaiser, among other Fortune 500 companies.
“WBENC West was an opportunity for women-owned business enterprises to meet one another, in addition to meeting top corporations from around the country for potential partnerships,” Kuklewicz said. “We connect and learn from one another. Everyone is incredibly supportive and wants to help however possible, further expanding current successes of fellow women-owned businesses.”
WBENC West organizers wanted relationships made at the conference to be fruitful for years to come. They planned meetups to connect women-owned business enterprises to either industry-specific buyers, women CEOs with purchase decision responsibilities or a plethora of corporate representatives. Participants counted on strategized networking opportunities, not leaving meeting at-the-right-place-and-time to mere chance. These included:

The first consisted of hosted roundtables connecting fewer than eight women-owned business enterprise suppliers with one or two corporate representative(s). Suppliers presented their capabilities to representatives in 15-minute rotations - WBE2WBE Strategic Business Connections
Attendees connected one-on-one with women CEOs who possess purchase decision power in their respective brands - Matchmaker Madness
The program connected corporations, which disclosed current or upcoming opportunities, to WBENC-certified enterprises that possessed capabilities matching their needs
